Creative Commons to overwhelm Copyrighted material
The June 2005 edition of Technology Review magazine has a new take on a story ran by Wired magazine last November. It basically preaches the new culture of Open Source, mostly led by the Brazilian movement and its popular icons.
I realized that they have already won the battle against Intellectual Property lobbyists by simply making sure that all their own creations are free for everyone to use and reuse (remix). Over time the majority of creations subject to strict copyrights will no longer be of public interest as there will be just as many or more good options that are easier to use (without the complicated legalities).
